What Is Swingbed?

  • A Swingbed stay means you remain in a hospital room after your acute care is done either at WCMH or at another facility. During your stay, you will receive rehabilitation, nursing oversight, and other medical therapies.
  • Swingbed is ideal for the patient that no longer needs the intensity of acute care, but still needs access to consistent nursing care, therapies, diagnostics, and clinical support in a hospital setting.
