Who We Are

Our mission is to support and advance the mission of Washington County Memorial Hospital by generating philanthropic support and community engagement. We strive to enhance the delivery of compassionate, high-quality healthcare services by funding vital medical equipment and innovative programs. Through our partnerships with donors, volunteers, and community leaders, we seek to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellness of our community.

Our History

2004 — Foundation Established

The Washington County Memorial Hospital Foundation is created as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting Washington County Memorial Hospital through philanthropy, fundraising, and community engagement.

2004–2010 — Launch of Community Giving Programs

Early efforts focus on building donor trust, establishing memorial and honor-gift opportunities, and funding small but impactful equipment upgrades throughout the hospital.

2010–2015 — Growing Support for Patient Care

The Foundation expands fundraising to address larger needs, helping the hospital invest in improved medical equipment, facility updates, and staff resources that enhance patient care.

2015–2020 — Strengthening Local Access to Healthcare

Donor support accelerates, allowing the Foundation to contribute to capital improvements and support specialized programs aimed at improving access to care for residents of Washington County.

2020–Present — Renewed Commitment to Innovation & Community Health

The Foundation increases visibility and donor engagement through events, online giving, and designated fundraising efforts.
Recent initiatives include funding equipment, supporting staff development, enhancing patient comfort programs, and building new ways for the community to have a direct impact on local healthcare.
