Occupational Therapists (OTs) promote independence in daily activities by using exercises, functional activities, and adaptive techniques to improve strength, flexibility, and overall function. Occupational therapy services may include treatment for:

  • Hand Therapy & Splinting: Facilitating recovery from hand injuries and conditions, including the use of custom-made splints tailored to individual needs.
  • Arthritis & Trigger Finger: Managing pain, stiffness, and movement limitations.
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Providing interventions to reduce pain, improve mobility, and prevent further injury.
  • Neurologic Impairments: Assisting individuals with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, brain injuries, coordination deficits, and cognitive impairments.
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Helping individuals regain independence in tasks such as dressing, bathing, and cooking.
  • Adaptive Equipment Training: Teaching the use of assistive devices to enhance function and safety.
  • Work-Related Injuries: Addressing injuries sustained on the job to facilitate a safe return to work.
  • Pediatrics: Providing therapy for children with sensory deficits, feeding disorders, autism, and cognitive-behavioral challenges.
